- Number 2 has an author's mark in the top right corner. I can't read it on my mobile but I'll see if it is any clearer on my PC later. From Hill To Shore (talk) 19:24, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
- Keep File:Salar Jung Museum - Beautiful Art 2.jpg. It is the painting Biblis by William-Adolphe Bouguereau.[1] From Hill To Shore (talk) 22:23, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

- Comment #3 is the first painting depicted in the Salar Jung's webpage of their European paintings [3]. Unfortunately no caption telling artist! But they do have a much better resolution photo of the painting [4] - the plaque at the bottom of the frame is almost, but to me not quite, readable. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 23:47, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
- Comment: the above discussion only takes into account the copyright of the paintings themselves, which is correct for exact reproductions. The photographs of these paintings however, include more than just the painting (frame, background, tilted view). I don't think that is covered under the defintion of photographs that carefully reproduce a two-dimensional public domain work, hence the photographs have their own copyright on top of that of the paintings. --HyperGaruda (talk) 19:35, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, which is why we have retained the Creative Commons licence on the two identified files. They are now dual licensed with PD-old-auto-exempt for the painting that makes up the core of the image and cc-by-sa-4.0 for the photograph. From Hill To Shore (talk) 20:47, 1 December 2021 (UTC)
- I found File:Salar Jung Museum - Beautiful Art 3.jpg on streetview and the caption says 1850 or 1858. I updated the painting and kept it. Maybe someone else is able to find the last one? Multichill (talk) 17:05, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
