English: Detail of a fragment of the victory stele of the king Eannatum of Lagash over Umma, called « Stele of Vultures », showing the first evidence of a phalanx. Historical side. Limestone, circa 2450 BC, Sumerian archaic dynasties. Found in 1881 in Girsu (now Tello, Iraq), Mesopotamia, by Édouard de Sarzec.
Español: Detalle de un fragmento de la Estela de los buitres, que representa la victoria del rey Eannatum de Lagash frente a Umma. En él se encuentra la primera formación en falange de la que se tiene conocimiento. Calcita, hacia 2450 AdC: Período dinástico arcaico sumerio. Descubrimiento : En 1881 en Girsu (actual Tello, Iraq), Mesopotamia, por Édouard de Sarzec.
